Originally, my intention was to replace a mobile antenna due to signal issues in my apartment. I now use it as a base station antenna, as apartment regulations limit external antennas. It's a superb alternative to the handheld transceiver's flexible antenna, and I even purchased another for my car.

This antenna does its job exceptionally well.

I acquired two of these antennas for my Baofeng UV-5R Amateur Radios. The attached photos display SWR readings for both 2 Meters and 70cm. I placed the antenna on my washing machine as a ground plane, but results may vary depending on the surface.

No feedback from my friend, a volunteer firefighter, but I'm sure it works.

Achieving a favorable SWR at UHF for Ham and GMRS bands with readings below 1.9. However, at VHF, it provides a SWR of less than 1.5 for Ham bands, but more than 2.1 for MURS channels.
